Few days ago lots of rumors started spreading that Mark Wahlberg is going to be the lead actor in the latest Transformers movie. However the rumors were very short lived as Michael Bay, the movie’s director stated on his blog that this is not true, instead they are talking about another film project. Mark and Michael are currently working on a movie named Pain and Gain which is due next year.
Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen
Unofficial Transformers fan siteActivision has launched a brand new web site featuring its next Transformers game, namely Transformers Prime - The Game. Be sure to visit www.transformersprimethegame.com where for now you can see a one-minute debut trailer for the game which is being developed by Nowpro for the Wii, Wii U, and the Nintendo 3DS and Altron for the Nintendo DS.
Recently Michael Bay talked about the latest Transformers movie which is due out during 2014. He confirmed there will be no human cast from the first three movies appearing in the forth; meaning we will have a whole set of new actors playing in the movie. Autobots and Decepticons will of course stay :). Also with that in mind the movie is said to be taking a whole new direction. The exact quote is:
“It’s not a reboot, that’s maybe the wrong word. I don’t want to say reboot because then people will think we’re doing a Spider Man and starting from the beginning. We’re not. We’re taking the story that you’ve seen and we’re taking it in a new direction.”
When asked if the movie will depart from Earth he said:
“That feels like the way to go, doesn’t it? I want to go a little off but I don’t want to go too sci-fi. I still want to keep it grounded. That’s what works in these movies, that’s what makes it accessible.”
The last thing he noted is that the budget for the movie is going to be about $30 mil. lighter then for Transformers 3.
Transformers: Fall of Cybetron, sequel to the award winning Transformers: War for Cybertron, has been released today on PC, XBOX 360 and PS3. The game continues the events of its predecessor as the Autobots struggle to defeat the Decepticons in a battle for their home planet of Cybertron. The launch was followed by an official launch trailer which can be seen in the rest of this post. More info on the game can be found on the official website and if you are looking to buy it it available on Amazon from around $59.

News for all comic book fans. Apocalypse Comics will bring two exclusive variants to this years New York Comic Con. Their exact words are: “The first is for Transformers #12, and is a homage to the classic Jack Kirby cover of X-Men #1. The second is for GI Joe #23 and is a homage to the unforgetable Apocalypse Now! movie poster. The TF cover features Sideswipe, Prowl, Swoop, First Aid, Brainstorm, Bombshell and Scrapper and the GI Joe cover features Baron Bludd and Duke. The reason we have chosen these specific characters to grace the covers is because they were all voiced by legendary voice actor Michael Bell who will be joining us at the convention, signing comics, figures, DVDs etc. Also joining us at the show will be the artists of both covers, penciler Casey Coller (who also pencilled TF Spotlight Drift, Spotlight Blurr and the Ironhide mini series as well as numerous All Hail Megatron covers) and colorist John-Paul Bove. Casey will be sketching all weekend and John-Paul will be able to color sketches all weekend too as well as both siging comics. So with three top guests and two awesome Convention Exclusive Covers, make sure you visit the Apocalypse Comics booth (booth #2281).”
